So far, they feel great in my hands...I have arthritis and needed something heavy that could do most of my cutting work. One of the steak knives wasn't that sharp...but I can take care of that. How do you advise to sharpen these...which sharpening method do you recommend? I've yet to you the other three knives but they feel good in my hand and are sharp....VERY sharp. I had seen the Promaja knife on several “Bushcraft” videos and wanted one. Somehow Coolina got onto my FaceBook feed, and I finally succumbed to the temptation. I bought the five knives picture. My wife called me the next day at work to confirm that I spent $440 on knives. I said yes, you can take it out of my personal account. The next day I was vindicated when a local sporting good store add came out, with a Benchmade folding knife going for $524, for just the one knife. I have only used the Promaja knife so far. I took it on a camping trip for a town reunion. On the last night we have a potluck. The organizers provided seven (7) Tritip roasts and 8 spatchcocked chickens, all smoked. I volunteered to cut up the meet and my Promaja knife went through them like soft butter. I still have to use the other knives or my wife will ask my why I had to have them. I am happy.

Ok lets be honest. They are not as sharp as everyone claims out of the box. They are never gonna replace my Shun Knives. Are they cool? Yes. Can you sharpen them to a point where they are functional/usable? Yes. But you are not gonna dice veggies with these knives outta the box. You'll crush your cuts just fine if you try. Again, I love these knives. I have 5 with 5 more on the way. But they are not precision instruments outta the box.

I bought several knives because, why not. The first time I tried it I was amazed how sharp it was. The look was so surprising. I first thought it was a little rough looking and I wasn’t sure what to expect. Looks can be very deceiving! It was ao sharp! I was completely impressed. It was like cutting melted butter. I accidentally cut myself but didn’t notice till I grabbed a paper towel. No food was harmed in leaving this comment. For Christmas, I gave my contractor one and he acted as if I had given him the Hope Diamond for his wife. That’s when I knew I had made a great purchase.

I bought a Coolina knife, it’s pretty cool looking and sharp. For the amount being charged for these knives, I think the blade should be cured or sealed to prevent rusting. I don’t like that I have to oil it after each use. I already have a few small rust spots from letting the knife sit out on the counter without being cleaned one time. I also think the blade should be sharper than the 30 degree angle put on it. Overall it’s a good knife, it’s just going to take a lot more care than expected.

The experience was kind of awful. They use fed ex and it took fed ex 3 different times to even get the package to me. First time they dropped off at wrong address, thank God I paid for package protection. Second time they "couldn't find my house" and then finally got it the 3rd attempt. My husband got his $300 gift after Christmas. Felt awful everyone else got their big gift and he was still waiting. Then we get the knives, they look nice, but none of them are sharp. Can't even cut through a tomato skin. I could have gotten knives at Walmart that cut better. Waste of money and time.

I love the butcher knife and its heft and quality feel the others are very nice but the heft and weight of the butcher knife feels like a complete different experience and at least for me, I want a cast iron knife with heft, balance and precision. A knife that begs to be used and you have delivered up on that. Very happy with purchase, I would love to see a completed artisan heavier version of each of your beautiful knives as a rustic set, board, stone,oil etc.

I bought several knives because, why not. The first time I tried it I was amazed how sharp it was. The look was so surprising. I first thought it was a little rough looking and I wasn’t sure what to expect. Looks can be very deceiving! It was ao sharp! I was completely impressed. It was like cutting melted butter. I accidentally cut myself but didn’t notice till I grabbed a paper towel. No food was harmed in leaving this comment. For Christmas, I gave my contractor one and he acted as if I had given him the Hope Diamond for his wife. That’s when I knew I had made a great purchase.

I bought a Coolina knife, it’s pretty cool looking and sharp. For the amount being charged for these knives, I think the blade should be cured or sealed to prevent rusting. I don’t like that I have to oil it after each use. I already have a few small rust spots from letting the knife sit out on the counter without being cleaned one time. I also think the blade should be sharper than the 30 degree angle put on it. Overall it’s a good knife, it’s just going to take a lot more care than expected.

My knifes are great and I enjoy using them!! They are well made and have a great edge on them, I cut up a prime rib into steaks a couple of pork loins into chops ! And cut up a few large roasts in to New York steak they really make a nice addition to my kitchen knives! I still have not used my chopping knife but if it like my butcher knife I will use it all the time. Phil

The experience was kind of awful. They use fed ex and it took fed ex 3 different times to even get the package to me. First time they dropped off at wrong address, thank God I paid for package protection. Second time they "couldn't find my house" and then finally got it the 3rd attempt. My husband got his $300 gift after Christmas. Felt awful everyone else got their big gift and he was still waiting. Then we get the knives, they look nice, but none of them are sharp. Can't even cut through a tomato skin. I could have gotten knives at Walmart that cut better. Waste of money and time.

I love the butcher knife and its heft and quality feel the others are very nice but the heft and weight of the butcher knife feels like a complete different experience and at least for me, I want a cast iron knife with heft, balance and precision. A knife that begs to be used and you have delivered up on that. Very happy with purchase, I would love to see a completed artisan heavier version of each of your beautiful knives as a rustic set, board, stone,oil etc.

The knives have arrived and I am so excited for my husband to open his Christmas present.
