perfect for my wife . perfect balance . nice weight . not too heavy. the finger hook makes it that much better .. I'd didn't have a sheath tho like the others so I will keep it in the box until I get a wall magnet. otherwise it is absolutely the best for every day use . used it for thanksgiving all day until I carved the turkey with the cleaver. :)

I've been using the Gator for processing deer. It's been amazing! Much less sharpening than my old knives. Holds It's edge longer than my other knives. It's heavier, but I feel like that gives me a bit more control for those precise cuts. I love this knife, I see many years of use ahead.

Rec'd a promaja as a gift last year.
I was looking to add an ALTOMINO to my collection and then i saw it.
I Had to have a GATOR.
It slices veggies, meat, and it even cut my towel to shreds while drying it off after initial washing.
BE AWARE : This knife is scapel sharp.
Respect It.
I will have a sheath made for it for next grilling season (thats why I give 4.5stars )
and Yes, I did to take it to my workshop for a quick rough polishing. The stock knife does not come in this finish.
