As much as I love my Lixy knife, I was a lil disappointed when the cleaver arrived ! It was light and small. Guess I was expecting too much.

Two knives were given as a gift for the holidays and the recipient was quite happy. They have used one and said it was a good weight and very sharp.

Bought BOTH the Coolina Pramaja Cleaver and the Cooking Guilds Serbian Cleaver to compare. Been interested in both for long time, but couldn’t decide. The Coolina is slightly smaller. Does make it easier to handle. Of note, the Coolina came with a standard cloth like sheath even though I purchased the stout leather sheath as well. The Cooking Guild did not come with a standard sheath at all, so good thing I bought the matching sheath for that knife. Another note, is that as the instructions/directions read, the blades do stain/tarnish very easily!! I used mine for cutting vegetables one evening for dinner. Didn’t clean off or put away in sheath, just left on cutting board. Awoke the next morning and the blade was stained and I haven’t been able to clean it off since. Slight eye sore, especially to be brand new, but I figure it’s just normal wear/tear after using from new. I truly don’t care, because I know it’s going to get endless use no matter what the blade looks like. I have cleaned it and oiled it after each use since then.

Very interesting knife. I haven't used it much yet but it seems well balanced. The knife I received required initial sharpening but, once sharpened, it performed well. I would purchase again.

Purchased as a gift for son-in-law he absolutely loved it.

The Blade has wasn't cleaned after the forging. You need ti rub a lot of black dust off of it. The Blade is not really sharp, had to spend 15 Minutes to sharpen the blade with a wet stone. The Handle seems to be good. The Shipping was very slow. Indeed Package left Coolina Warehouse 14 days after ordering, plus 14 days of shipping... not very good.

I was not expecting the sheath, but was pleasantly surprised. You see, it is a gift, which makes it a bonus!!

I recently completed full set! I couldn’t be happier with Coolina’s knifes. Every time I use they bring a smile to my face. I have the sheaths as well, which are awesome. If I’m going camping, or over to a mates for a Barbecue I will always throw one or 2 in a bag, just in case I need to cut something. The thought of using dull inferior blades makes me cringe. I did need to get them sharpened as they only come “shop sharp”. My knife sharpener was so amazed at blades that he took photos to show his clients. I haven’t needed to touch them since. I would recommend these knifes to anyone.

I ordered this knife sheath because I didn't realize the knife came with one -- albeit not a leather one. Had I known I would not have spent the extra money on the leather sheath. However, that being said, it is a well made sheath and really keeps the blade safe.

I got this knife for my husband for Christmas. Partially because he’s been looking for a cleaver to add to our kitchen knife collection and partially because it looks like a badass Viking weapon. I also ordered the fancy sheath to keep it in. He absolutely loves it. Good weight. Good rocking motion to actually cut vegetables or really anything... would definitely recommend. He glued the sheath to the top of our butcher block so now it’s a permanent and convenient kitchen tool he’s been using almost every day
